Iram Feroz becomes first, youngest female chef of IHM in Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 10 (ANI): Iram Feroz became the first and youngest female chef of Institute of Hotel Management in Srinagar. She is presently working as a professional chef in a private hotel in Srinagar. Iram Feroz hails from the Natipora area of Srinagar and belongs to the middle class family. She completed her matriculation from Arun Public High School in Natipora. Iram also joined in Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) to complete her Masters in Sociology. She is always interested in becoming a professional chef. When Iram decided to become a chef, she was told by her parents that girls from their families do not take up this type of profession. However, defying all the odds, she pursued her dream and is now working as a chef at a leading Kashmir valley-based hotel. She also inspired other young women and men who wants to become a chef but get discouraged to take up this profession in Kashmiri society. Iram Feroz is very thankful to the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) for becoming the youngest female chef of the valley.
