Jaipur (Rajasthan) July 04 (ANI): State level palanhar beneficiary dialogue program was organized in Jaipur. On this occasion, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot directly transferred Rs 146.74 crore to the bank accounts of more than 5.91 lakh beneficiaries of Palanhar Yojana. During this, the Chief Minister also interacted with the beneficiaries of all the districts through video conference. He said that this scheme is an innovative initiative. The government is making it stronger. It is our responsibility that not a single eligible child should be deprived of this scheme. Palanhar scheme is being run by the state government for Orphan children, children of parents sentenced to death or life imprisonment, children of widowed mothers receiving pension, children of remarried widowed mothers, children of parents suffering from HIV/AIDS, children of parents suffering from leprosy, children of especially abled parents, Children of divorced or abandoned women receiving pension and children of parents suffering from silicosis. In the budget of the year 2023-24, Chief Minister Gehlot had increased the amount of aid given per month from Rs. 500 to Rs. 750 for children aged 0 to 6 years under the Palanhar Yojana. Whereas for the age group of 6 to 18 years, it was announced to increase the amount of aid from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 1500 per month. The state government has spent Rs 2516 crore on this scheme in the last four years.
