J-K: Indian Army foils infiltration bid in Balakote, 2 militants eliminated

Rajouri (J&K), Jan 08 (ANI): The Indian Army on January 07 night foiled a major infiltration bid and killed two militants in the Balakote area of J&K’s Poonch district. Large quantities of weapons and equipment were also recovered by the Indian Army from the Line of Control. The recovered materials include two pistols with ammunition, 2 US made-night vision goggles, one binocular, camcorder with photos of militants and their training. “With the quick action of alert troops, major infiltration bid was dust foiled, and the nefarious designs of the militants to disrupt peace in Poonch and Rajouri districts was thwarted successfully. The Indian Army continued to remain alert in the LoC and well prepare to thwart attempts of infiltration in the future too,” said Brigadier R Krishnan.
