J-K: Indian Army signs MoU with Pune-based foundation for financial sustainability of Goodwill Schools

Srinagar, Jan 25 (ANI): Indian Army's Chinar Corps on January 25 entered into second Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a Pune-based Indrani Balan Foundation to provide better education facilities to the Army Goodwill Schools in Kashmir Valley. The welfare foundation is active in variety of philanthropic work across India. Through this MoU, Army will get financial assistance for Army Goodwill Schools. Last year, Chinar Corps had signed a similar MoU with this Foundation for the financial sustainability of five AGSs of Uri, Wayne, Trehgam, and Haiinan in Baramulla and Kupwara districts for five years. This year, the MoU focuses on the four Army Goodwill Schools (AGSs) and Army Goodwill Public Schools (AGPS) and will entail financial support of Rs 3,28,00,000 per year for the next five years. Chinar Corps currently runs 28 Army Goodwill Schools in Kashmir, which educates more than 10,000 students every year.
