J-K: National Highway closed for traffic due to snowfall
Feb 23, 2022
Anantnag (Jammu and Kashmir), Feb 23 (ANI): Fresh snowfall in J&K disrupted normal life and affected air traffic and road connectivity. The 300 km long Jammu-Srinagar National Highway got closed for vehicular movement. The highway is the only surface link between Kashmir and the rest of the country. The Border Road Organization (BRO) officials have been deployed to clear the snow off the highway to make it trafficable. Meanwhile, CRPF Jawans were seen helping the local commuters who were driving their vehicles from the inter-district. All inbound, as well as outgoing flights at Srinagar, have been cancelled due to heavy snowfall and poor visibility.
