Jaishankar discusses bilateral relations, Ukraine conflict with UK Foreign Secretary

New Delhi, Oct 26 (ANI): UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly dialed Dr Jaishankar on Oct 25. Cleverly held talks on ‘Russia-Ukraine war’ with his India’s Counterpart. The talks were held in the backdrop of the UNSC meeting. It was the first interaction between India-UK after Rishi Sunak became PM. Bilateral relations between both countries were also discussed. India-UK also held talks regarding the fight against terrorism. Cleverly affirmed that UK will challenge Moscow’s rhetoric, allegations at UNSC. Expectations are high from Rishi Sunak to improve economic situation of Britain. British HC Alex Ellis stated that UK’s economy will be Sunak’s top priority. Alex emphasised that Britain wants to double its trade with India by 2030. UK’s first Indian-origin PM Rishi Sunak set to take oath on October 28.
