JDPA observes one-day strike to demand VAT reduction on fuel

Ranchi (Jharkhand), Dec 21 (ANI): Jharkhand Petroleum Dealers Association on December 21 observed a one-day strike in the state. They are demanding reduction in value added tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel. JPDA declared the strike after the state government did not pay heed to their demands including reduction of VAT by 5 per cent, clearance of the outstanding dues of the government departments and regulation of the adulteration of biodiesel in various districts within three weeks.
