J&K: Disaster management training program organised for women in Srinagar

Srinagar, Mar 28 (ANI): Five-day-long training program was organised for women by the Department of Disaster Management, Relief & Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, Jammu and Kashmir. It was organised in the collaboration of the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) and Civil Defence at Durbuk in the HMT area in the outskirts of Srinagar. The main objective of the program was to prepare women for a response at their homes during man-made or natural disaster. The experts taught the participants about basic causality handling & transportation, first aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), firefighting, and other emerging methods of rescue as well as rescue knots. They also trained them with these basic rescue techniques so that they can protect themselves during these situations. This program got huge response from the community.
