J&K: Economics graduate starts mushroom farming with help of Agriculture Dept in Kupwara

Kupwara (J&K), Feb 05 (ANI): 27-year-old Nisar Ahmad Ganie, an Economics graduate, started mushroom farming in Kupwara after attending a mushroom cultivation awareness programme organised by the Agriculture Department in his village. While speaking to ANI, Nisar informed that he started the farming to improve his family’s financial conditions, and with the help of the Agriculture Department in Kupwara, he was able to harvest a good amount of mushrooms. “After a three months long training course, the Agriculture Department in Kupwara encouraged me for this. I took the initiative and started with a single unit. I earned a handsome amount out of my first crop which encouraged me to continue with the cultivation of mushrooms,” the boy said.
