J&K: Handloom and Handicrafts Arts Exhibition organised to promote local artisans’ products

Srinagar, April 18 (ANI): Handloom and Handicrafts Arts Exhibition is being organised during the tourist season near the botanical garden in Srinagar. It was organised by the Department of Handicrafts with an aim to provide a large platform to the artisan community to showcase their products. During the exhibition, various stalls were installed by renowned artisans of the Valley. Apart from the tulip show, larger number of tourists especially Kashmir art lovers visited the exhibition to purchase beautiful and attractive products. Kashmir art is worldwide popular due to its unique handwork done by artisans and pure quality of products including carpet, wood carving, shawls, crewel, embroidery, chain stitches, papier mache, and willow wicker. Visitors always prefer to buy something as they are considering that Kashmiri art products are the best ones due to the pure quality and unique handwork.
