J&K: Police on strict vigil ahead of New Year celebrations in Udhampur

Udhampur (J&K), Dec 31 (ANI): Security was tightened in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir in view of the New Year celebrations on December 31. The police are on strict vigil to check drunk driving and over speeding. An on-duty police official informed that they are making people aware of their basic responsibilities amid the New Year celebrations to avoid accidents. “People often showcase irresponsible behavior through drunk driving and over speeding. We are trying to make them aware of their responsibilities,” the official said. The police were also spotted catching a few people with alcohol bottles as well.
