Srinagar, March 31 (ANI): During the holy month of Ramadan, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) organised religious poetry programme at Tagore Hall in Srinagar. The purpose of the program was to highlight the importance of Ramadan and recitation of the specific religious poetry known as ‘NAAT’ to pay tribute to Prophet Muhammad who teaches love, humanity, brotherhood and respect to each other without any caste and creed. Professors, Educationist, Scholars and Poets belonging to different languages recited beautiful ‘NAAT’ with some important paper readings. Government and Non-Governmental Organisation are also organising such types of programmes for the participants to make them relaxed and feel spiritual blessings. So that’s why participants demanded such types of cultural programmes in future. Kashmir is known as the valley of sufis and saints and this valley has been producing a number of Sufi poets to show their love towards Prophet Muhammad. The holy month of Ramadan started on March 23 and Muslims spend their maximum time in prayers, reciting Quran and other religious activities.
