JKCPJ, Hope Works launch ‘Hope Citizen Srinagar Chapter’ for empowering girls through education in Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 1, 2025 (ANI): J&K Centre for Peace and Justice Foundation (JKCPJ) in collaboration with Hope Workers launched ‘Hope Citizen Srinagar Chapter’ to empower girls through education in Srinagar. The initiative seeks to break the socio-economic barriers that prevent many girls in Kashmir from continuing their education beyond school. It also brought together educationists, civil society members, and young girls from underprivileged backgrounds who stand to benefit from this initiative. It focused on providing scholarships, mentorship, and capacity building training to girls aspiring to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Girls also displayed a skit about the challenges of a girl's parents who have to pay fee for a girl child for higher studies. ‘Hope Citizen Srinagar Chapter’ envisioned a future where no girl is denied education due to financial limitations.
