Kalaburagi Airport inaugurated under UDAN/RCS

Kalaburgai (Karnataka) [India], Nov 23(ANI): In a major boost to air connectivity, Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa inaugurated the first-ever airport in Kalaburagi. Kalaburagi Airport is 13.8 km away from Kalaburagi City which will pave way for direct connectivity of North Karnataka with the state headquarters and other commercial centres. The airport is operational and a Star Air direct flight from Bengaluru landed at the aerodrome during the inauguration. AAI Chairman Arvind Singh, along with Secretary to Ministry of Civil Aviation Pradeep Singh Khorola were present during the inaugural ceremony.
