Kashmiri Pandits celebrate scrapping of Article 370

New Delhi, Aug 05 (ANI): In a major announcement made on Jammu and Kashmir, Union Home Minister Amit Shah today announced the Indian government’s proposal to revoke Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, which provided ‘special status’ to the state. As per the announcement, now the state has been bifurcated into two Union Territories with Ladakh being a Union Territory without Legislature and remaining part of the state as Union Territory of J&K with Legislature. Kashmiri Pandits celebrated in the national capital after this proposal was moved in the Rajya Sabha. They congratulated the BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
