Kashmir’s Water Hero Ruhail Maqbool Sheikh receives prestigious Jal Prahari Samman

Pulwama (J&K), January 04 (ANI): Ruhail Maqbool Sheikh celebrated as the water hero of Kashmir Valley, was bestowed with the prestigious Jal Prahari Samman in New Delhi. With over a decade of service as a water quality analyst under the Jal Jeevan Mission in the Tral district, Ruhail is committed to environmental research and water conservation. Ruhail's initiatives encompasses training, awareness programs, and cleanliness drives, encouraging locals to embrace eco-friendly practices. Ruhail Maqbool Sheikh has been consistently honoured with the Jal Prahari Samman, acknowledging his remarkable contributions. In 2021, he received the 'National Water Hero Award' from the Ministry of Jal Shakti for his praiseworthy endeavours in water conservation, research, and awareness.
