K’taka political crisis: DK Shivakumar accuses BJP of ‘using Governor’

Bengaluru (Karnataka), July 22 (ANI): While speaking to ANI, Karnataka Irrigation Minister, DK Shivakumar said, “Supreme Court has very clearly said that they can’t fix the timings. It is obvious that it is up to the speaker, he has to take the call. I think lots of issues have been going on, I think BJP is better to wait.” He added, “BJP is a hurried power; they are all using the Governor of Karnataka, writing letters. There are lots of directions from SC that Governor has limited role and should not step in the shoes of democracy.” BJP MLAs today arrived at Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru. Congress-JD(S) coalition government will face floor test to prove their majority in the Assembly today. The Karnataka Assembly on Friday failed to meet the deadline set by the Governor. The Karnataka Assembly has 225 members, including one nominated MLA. The halfway mark in the 225-member Assembly is 113.
