Ladakh hosts conference to promote Nalanda Buddhism’s cultural significance

Leh (Ladakh), Aug 12 (ANI): The Indian Himalayan Council of the Nalanda Buddhist Tradition organized a Buddhist Conference in Ladakh on August 11th. The conference was titled 'Nalanda Buddhism in the 21st Century: Challenges & Responses.' The Conference had around 550 delegates consisting of Revered Rinpoches, Geshes, Khenpos, Monks & Nuns, and Scholars. The objective of conference on Nalanda Buddhism was to re-establish the roots of Buddhism to its land of origin. The event aimed to educate people, especially the youth, about the history and value of Nalanda Buddhism. Buddhism believes in the philosophy of attaining enlightenment through mindfulness.
