Late Sahil Wakode ‘s family seeks CBI probe, raises questions over CCTV, Phone and laptop evidence

Mumbai, September 21, 2026 (ANI): Sahil Ravindra Wakode’s uncle and aunt alleged that the IIT student’s death requires a thorough investigation, including a CBI probe. They said the family was informed of his death by a professor and claimed that no clear explanation, CCTV footage, mobile phone or laptop had been provided to them. They alleged that Sahil had told his father about caste-based remarks by a professor shortly before his death and questioned how he was allowed to leave the examination area alone. The family called for action against everyone responsible, saying Sahil was a bright and talented student with aspirations of becoming an IAS officer, and demanded justice for him and other students who had died under similar circumstances.
