“Law & Order के लिए गिरफ्तारी सही” : GOA CM Pramod Sawant Slams CJP Protest, Defends EC and SIR

Panaji, Goa: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant defended the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process amid the CJP protest in Delhi. Calling the ECI an independent institution, Sawant said the electoral process was conducted in accordance with the Constitution. He said eligible voters whose names had been removed from electoral rolls could apply for re-inclusion through Form 6. Sawant accused certain political parties of using young people associated with the CJP to target independent constitutional institutions. He also defended the detention of some individuals during the protest, citing the need to maintain law and order, and said those challenging the electoral process should approach the courts.
