New Delhi, India Lobsang Sangay, Former Tibetan Prime Minister-in-Exile said the visit of Marco Rubio to India reflects a growing global alignment against China’s expansionist policies. He highlighted the increasing strategic cooperation among Quad nations — India, the U.S., Japan, and Australia — along with Japan’s growing partnerships in Asia. Sangay said Rubio’s high-level meetings with Narendra Modi show Washington views India as a key democratic ally. He also praised Rubio’s strong stance on China, Tibet, democracy, and human rights, noting that China had previously banned Rubio due to his outspoken criticism of Beijing.
