Maharashtra floods: Rescue operation underway by NDRF

Sangli/ Kolhapur (Maharashtra), Aug 10 (ANI): Rescue and relief operations in flood-affected areas are underway. All 14 Navy teams in Kolhapur have proceeded for rescue operations at Shiroli village (Shirol block) near Kolhapur from 6 am on August 10. More than two lakh people have been evacuated to safer place from three districts of Maharashtra- Kolhapur, Sangli and Satara. Personnel of NDRF and Navy are also conducting rescue operations in other parts of Maharashtra.
