Maharashtra govt to bring bill for making Marathi subject compulsory in all schools

Mumbai, Feb 12 (ANI): Maharashtra Minister for Industries and Mining, Subhash Desai, on February 12 informed that the state will table a bill in the upcoming assembly session to make Marathi subject compulsory in all schools. He said, “In the coming assembly session, we will bring a bill to make Marathi subject compulsory in all schools in the state.”After this bill not only government, but private schools are bound to make Marathi a compulsory subject in Maharashtra. According to the government, it is taking this move to bring back the glory of Marathi language in the state.
