Mallikarjun Kharge, The new Congress President

New Delhi Oct 19 (ANI): For the first time in 24 years, Congress got a non-Gandhi President. Mallikarjun Kharge became the new President of the grand Old Party. Kharge got 7897 votes and won with a margin of over 6000 votes. Mallikarjun Kharge and Shashi Tharoor were in fray for the top post of the party. Kharge will take place of Sonia Gandhi who had been serving as interim president since 2019.
