Mangaluru: 'Nava Bharat' night school a beacon of hope for underprivileged

Mangaluru (Karnataka), Jul 03 (ANI): 'Nava Bharat' night school has been ray of hope for people of underprivileged sections of society since pre-independence era. School is basically supported by day school teachers and few business persons. The school was started by a teacher named Khalid Mohammed. Most of the students at the night school are daily wage workers, waiters, house wives, sweepers, bank employees and auto rickshaw drivers. They are accompanied by small aged as well as middle aged children. 'Nava Bharat' has a great rate of churning out doctors, engineers and other professionals.
