Mangaluru(Karntaka), Mar 07(ANI): The 400 year old shrine of Kordabbu- Rahuguliga deity in Shanthiguri locality of Mangaluru has been for long telling the tale of communal harmony. And every year, this tale is recited and revisited again by the devotees during the celebration of Kola, an annual religious ritual.. Locals say that no matter which religion they belong to, they never shy away from attending each other’s occasion. On the occasion of Kola, hundreds of devotees belonging to different castes and faith visit the shrine of Kordabbu- Rahuguliga. This brotherhood among people is deep rooted in the history of the shrine. Not just the land on which holy structure stands but even the ‘Poonchaloha Moorthi’ was given to the temple by Muslim families. And this bonhomie still resonates at this shrine during the annual occasion, when the Christians too join their Hindu and Muslim brothers to do the lighting and decoration.
