Massive protests erupted in Chandigarh after suicide of Gagandeep Singh Randhawa, CM Mann in action

New Delhi, March 22, 2026 (ANI): Punjab Government employee’s suicide triggered massive protest in Chandigarh on March 22. Gagandeep Singh’s wife, Upinder Kaur, also accused Laljit Singh Bhullar of torturing her husband. Meanwhile, BJP leader Sunil Jakhar urged for a CBI probe and called death of Randhawa ‘not a suicide but a murder’. Notably, FIR has been registered against Bhullar after CM Mann accepted his resignation as Transport Minister following political chaos. Meanwhile, CM Mann vowed that ‘whether it’s their or someone else’s minister, law is same for everyone’. District Manager in the Punjab Warehousing Corporation (PWC), Gagandeep Singh Randhawa, died by suicide on March 20. The death of the senior government officer has sent shockwaves across the state, triggering protests from opposition parties. The case came into the limelight after it was found that Randhawa blamed Punjab Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar for his death in a last recorded video.
