Massive Rs 12,000 Crore drug bust by NCB and Indian intelligence from Indian Ocean maritime route

Kochi (Kerala), May 13 (ANI): In a joint operation of Indian Navy, NCB, 2,500 kg of high quality Methamphetamine seized off the Kerala coast. The Methamphetamine has been sourced from the ‘Death Crescent’ valued around Rs 12,000 crore in International markets. A Pakistani national was detained in the joint raid by NCB and the Indian Navy, officials said. The seizure was part of ‘Operation Samudragupt’ targeting maritime drug trafficking originating from Afghanistan. he methamphetamine has been sourced from the ‘Death Crescent’ and is valued at Rs 15,000 crore in Indian waters. This is the first time an Indian agency has intercepted a “mother ship” carrying drugs. 134 sacks of suspected Methamphetamine were recovered from the ship. The recovered sacks, Pakistani national, the intercepted boat and some other items salvaged from the mother ship were brought to Mattancherry Wharf in Kochi on May 13 and handed over to NCB for further action.
