‘Matter of pride’, says NTAGI chief after India administers 1 crore vaccine doses in single-day

New Delhi, Aug 28 (ANI): As India crossed the one crore vaccination mark in a single day on Friday, Chief of National Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation in India (NTAGI) Dr NK Arora said that the achievement of administering one crore doses of COVID-19 vaccines in a single day is a matter of pride for the Indian health system and it will go down in the history of COVID-19 immunisation. It's (administering 1 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccines in a single day today) a matter of pride for the Indian health system. This will go down in the history of COVID-19 immunization. Even with 63,000 immunisation centres, we are able to administer over 1 crore doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. We can vaccinate Switzerland, and Scandinavian countries in a single day,” said Dr NK Arora while speaking to ANI.
