Much advertised double engine governance model on which BJP seeks votes has utterly failed: Manmohan Singh

Mumbai, Oct 17 (ANI): Former prime minister Manmohan Singh attended an event in Mumbai on Indian economy on October 17. He took a jibe at Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) leaders’ ‘double engine’ statement during recent election campaigns which refers to having government both in state and Centre. Manmohan Singh said, “Much advertised double engine model of governance on which BJP seeks votes has utterly failed. Maharashtra has faced some of the worst effects of economic slowdown. Manufacturing growth rate of Maharashtra has been declining for 4th consecutive years.”
