Kupwara (J&K), September 23 (ANI): Sharda Diwas was celebrated with great devotion and religious fervor at Teetwal village in Kupwara near the Line of Control in North Kashmir. Kashmiri Pandits and Sanathanis from different parts of the country attended the Sharda Diwas and held special prayers. Besides this, pilgrims for the first time took out a symbolic Yatra from Sharda Peeth Temple to Teetwal Crossing point near the Line of Control (LOC) at Teetwal in Kupwara. The Sharda Diwas event was organized by the Save Sharda Committee Kashmir. While talking to ANI, Ravinder Pandita, the Head of the Save Sharda Committee (SSC) said,” Every year we celebrate this Sharda Diwas as per the Hindu religious calendar, and same was celebrated today and we also took out symbolic Yatra from Sharda Yatra Temple to Teetwal Crossing point near Line of Control (LOC). just like the Kartarpur corridor we have requested govt of India to allow us to make the same type of corridor between Teetwal Kupwara towards Neelam Valley of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) were real Sharda Peeth temple is located that will increase religious tourism between the two countries India and Pakistan.” “This was a very peaceful Yatra. This Yatra connected all the religions of this country together to pray to our God. We are adults, and not kids, so when we see the fence we know that land belongs to another country and we do not go there, but as residents of this land, we all celebrate here, unitedly, and fortunately in harmony. When something for our country comes, reli9gion doesn’t matter. We had pilgrims from all religions, be it Hindu, our Muslim brothers and sisters or even Sardars,” said Poonam Raina, a pilgrim from Kashmir.
