The Smart Primary Health Centre at Pandhara village in Gandhinagar is transforming rural healthcare by providing free, modern and technology-enabled medical services. Equipped with solar-powered infrastructure, digital health records, advanced laboratories and telemedicine facilities, the centre brings quality healthcare closer to villages. Around 150–200 patients visit the PHC daily, with 30–35 safe deliveries conducted every month, all free of cost, including diagnostic tests and sonography. The health centre also supports maternal and child healthcare through digital monitoring, immunisation services and newborn care kits, while tuberculosis patients receive nutrition kits under the Nikshay Mitra initiative. Through the e-Sanjeevani Telemedicine Portal, villagers can consult specialists without travelling, making affordable, accessible and quality healthcare a reality for rural communities in Gujarat.
