Pitru Paksha: People pay homage to ancestors by performing ‘Shradh’ in Ayodhya

Ayodhya (UP), Sep 28 (ANI): People paid homage to their ancestors by performing the ‘Shradh’ and ‘Tarpana’ rituals in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya. Pitru Paksha is observed by Hindus by remembering their ancestors. It is when the deceased visit earth and bless their kin with prosperity. The kin offer food, money and other gifts to their ‘Pitras’ as a sign of reverence.
