PLI scheme to provide employment to 7.5 lakh people: MoS Textiles

New Delhi, Sep 08 (ANI): After the Union Cabinet approved Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for the textile sector, Darshana Jardosh, MoS Textiles said that this move will generate employment for lakhs of people in the sector. “There is a possibility of about 7.5 lakh people to be employed with this scheme. We're aiming for production of over Rs 3.5 lakh crore, incentive target of 25% after first 2 years. Technical textiles, manmade fibre garments to be promoted through this scheme,” said Darshana Jardosh.
