Pune couple set up oxygen generation plant for Siachen soldiers

Pune (Maharashtra), Oct 07 (ANI): Yogesh and Sumedha Chithade, a married couple, from Pune have constructed an oxygen generation plant for soldiers at Siachen. In 2018, the couple had pledged to sell all their jewellery to construct the plant. Taking this initiative forward, the couple through their organisation SIRF (Soldiers Independent Rehabilitation Foundation) collected the fund through crowd funding of almost Rs 2 core which was required to set up an oxygen plant. While speaking to ANI, Yogesh said, "It's our duty to serve the needs of our soldiers. It will help nearly 20,000 people"
