Punjab: Hearing, speech impaired Chess player disappointed after being denied reward by Govt

Jalandhar (Punjab), Jan 03 (ANI): Malika Handa, a hearing and speech impaired Chess player expressed her disappointment after being denied any reward by Punjab Sports Minister Pargat Singh. The specially-abled champion was informed that the state government can’t give her a job and cash reward as the government doesn’t have provisions for the specially-abled sportspersons. “I am very hurt,” she tweeted. Handa is also called Jalandhar’s golden girl. She had previously won several medals in national and international championships.
