Punjab: Repair work of gold sheets underway at Golden Temple in Amritsar

Amritsar (Punjab), Mar 26 (ANI): Repairing work of gold sheets is underway at Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab on March 25. The repair work which has been going on is being done by a United Kingdom-based group. Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) secretary Mohinder Singh informed that UK-based group is cleaning the gold plating. SGPC has entrusted the “sewa” to the Guru Nanak Nishkam Sewak Jatha. Pollution have darkened the gold plated walls of the gurudwara. Due to the COVID-19, the “sewa” could not be conducted in the last two years.”
