Jaipur (Rajasthan), September 6, 2025 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Saturday flagged off new buses of Rajasthan Roadways. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa and MLA Gopal Sharma were also present. A total of 162 Blue Line Express buses and 12 new Super Luxury buses purchased by the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) have been added to the Roadways fleet. The Chief Minister also inaugurated a new bus service from Jaipur to Kainchi Dham, Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister said that the addition of these buses will provide affordable, safe, and modern transportation facilities to the public. He emphasized that special arrangements have been made for women’s safety, as all buses are equipped with CCTV cameras and panic buttons. He also reminded that the state government has extended the benefit of free bus travel for women for two days every year on Raksha Bandhan, and free bus travel for students appearing for examinations. Deputy CM Dr. Bairwa termed this a “big achievement” for Rajasthan Roadways and announced that 800 more new buses will be added to the fleet in the coming time. Taking a dig at the previous government, he said it was unfortunate that not a single bus was purchased during its tenure.
