Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma highlights role of cooperatives in empowering rural Rajasthan

Jaipur (Rajasthan), July 17 (ANI): At an event marking the International Year of Cooperatives 2025, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized the crucial role of cooperative societies in empowering rural India. He said, “Today, there is an extensive network of over 8.5 lakh Cooperative Societies which is empowering people. At the level of PACS village, short-term loans, seeds, fertilisers and essential services are being provided and farmers are being empowered...Today, in this state, there are more than 41,000 cooperative societies; more than 1.10 crore people are connected to this. 976 new MPACS have been formed in the state so far. Within 2 years, Gram Seva cooperative societies will formed in the remaining gream panchayats of the state..."
