Rajasthan first in entire country on various parameters of MGNREGS: Chief Minister Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) May 10 (ANI): In the review meeting of the Rural Development Department, at his residence in Jaipur, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that the labour rate has increased rapidly in Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) in Rajasthan compared to other states. The CM highlighted that the State has been in the first position in the approved labour budget, the number of families completing 100 days, the creation of man-days and a national mobile monitoring system in MGNREGS. He underlined that the State Government is giving additional employment of 25 days to the families who completed 100 days in MGNREGS. At the same time, the State Government has already issued orders to provide additional employment of 100 days to Saharia, Khairua, Kathaudi and specially-abled. The CM also said that the arrangements have been made for drinking water, shade, crèche, medical kit, soap-sanitiser at the workplace for the MGNREGS personnel, looking at the scorching heat.
