Rajasthan Govt committed for development of agriculture and animal husbandry sectors: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) June 11 (ANI): The Governor of Rajasthan Kalraj Mishra in the presence of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various buildings of Agriculture University Jodhpur and Veterinary and Animal Science University, Bikaner. Speaking on the occasion, Governor Kalraj Mishra stressed on making effective marketing policy for agriculture, animal husbandry, and dairy products in the state so that these products can make their place in the global market. Describing agriculture and animal husbandry as the mainstay of the state's development, the Governor said that farmers and animal husbandry should get the benefits of modern techniques in the field of science and technology. In the program, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that in this time of the pandemic, when the country's economy is progressing at a slow pace, the agriculture sector contributes 14 percent and animal husbandry sector 12.5 percent to the GDP of Rajasthan. The state government is making every effort so that the agriculture and animal husbandry sector expands at a fast pace. The CM Gehlot mentioned that at present it is the endeavor of the State Government that dairy should be expanded in every village of the state. This will benefit the cattle owners and dairy booths will generate employment.
