Rishikesh’s iconic ‘Lakshman Jhula’ to be shut temporarily

Rishikesh (Uttarakhand), Jul 12 (ANI): The iconic ‘Lakshman Jhula’ bridge in Uttarakhand’s Rishikesh has been ordered to be closed temporarily for public movement due to its dilapidated condition. Built in 1932, the bridge is unable to handle to the modern footfalls, and the bridge seems to be tilted to one side. Considering the possibilities of future casualties, the local administration has ordered for the temporary shutdown of the bridge.
