Rural Olympics increased sports trends and social harmony: Rajasthan CM

New Delhi, October 18 (ANI): The state-level Rajiv Gandhi Rural Olympic Games is being organised in Rajasthan. These games started in a program organised at SMS Stadium in Jaipur. During this, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that the hidden sports talents in the rural areas of the state are coming to the fore through Rural Olympic Games. These games have received a lot of appreciation all over Rajasthan. These games have been completely successful in their objective. In the coming times, due to the rural Olympic Games, India's medal tally in international sports competitions will increase. The Chief Minister also said that more than 30 lakh players participated in these games across the state. These include more than 10 lakh women players. He said that these sports have boosted confidence among the youth. The State Government is committed to providing good grounds, high-quality training and excellent sports facilities to the players. The Rajasthan government is constructing Dhyan Chand Stadium for players across the state. Sports academies are being opened in different districts for the training of players. Rajiv Gandhi Rural Olympic Games was started on August 29 with the objective of creating a positive atmosphere for sports in the state as well as increasing mutual love, brotherhood, goodwill and cooperation. Due to this, along with the interest towards sports in society, social harmony has also increased. CM added.
