SAREX-2026: Indian Coast Guard conducts 12th National Maritime Search & Rescue Exercise in Odisha

Paradip (Odisha), Oct 08, 2026 (ANI) The Indian Coast Guard conducted the 12th National Maritime Search and Rescue Exercise (SAREX-2026) off Paradip, Odisha, under the aegis of the National Maritime Search and Rescue Board (NMSARB). Held under the theme “Leveraging Technology to Strengthen SAR Preparedness and Maritime Safety,” the exercise brought together maritime and aeronautical agencies to demonstrate operational readiness, interoperability and coordinated response to mass rescue operations at sea. Director General, ICG Paramesh Sivamani reviewed the exercise, which saw participation from the Coast Guard, Navy, Air Force and several other maritime and state agencies.
