SCO member countries were unanimous against terrorism, says Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane

New Delhi, April 28 (ANI): Defence Secretary of India Giridhar Aramane on April 28 informed that the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation meeting of Defence Ministers held in the national capital went successfully. He also informed that all the Defence Ministers signed a joint communique and protocol at the meeting. “The Council of Defence Ministers of SCO met successfully. We are fortunate that there was a joint communique and protocol which was signed by all Defence Ministers today. It is indeed a tribute to the cooperative attitude of all the member countries of this organisation that we could arrive at consensus with regard to several areas of cooperation in the defence sector. The main sectors of cooperation will be humanitarian assistance and disaster relief to the vulnerable populations, cooperation in increasing the security of the vulnerable populations living in various countries,” said Giridhar Aramane. “All the member countries were unanimous in their statement that terrorism in whatever form shall be condemned and controlled,” he further said.
