Self defence camp for girls organised in J&K’s Rajouri under ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ campaign

Rajouri (J&K), Oct 20 (ANI): Under the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ campaign of Indian government, a self defence training camp for girls was organised in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on October 19. The sports event was organised by the United Martial Art Club of Rajouri in collaboration with the district administration. The event was inaugurated on October 19 which was its opening ceremony. The programme was organised at the Police Line Ground in Rajouri district. District Development Commissioner (DDC) of Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad was the chief guest on the event. The camp was held to teach players about the new rules of sport and to bring uniformity of trainings in all parts of the J&K. While speaking to ANI, DDC Asad said, “School children especially girl students participated in the camp. For ‘Beti Bachao’ part, we are giving self-defence training to girl students.”
