Self-help group starts seed business in Budgam with help of UMEED scheme

Budgam (J&K), July 21 (ANI): A self-help group in Budgam has started seed business with the help of the UMEED scheme. UMEED scheme aims to provide financial assistance and women empowerment in the Union Territory. Under the scheme, the Self-help group was provided financial support to buy high-quality seeds for seed production. Members of the group were also given training and guidance on modern techniques of seed production. The self-help group aims to contribute to agricultural development by providing farmers with high-quality seeds. The UMEED scheme has provided women from rural areas with opportunities for economic growth and self-sustainability.
