Hyderabad, April 30 (ANI): ‘Shaadi Mubharak’ Scheme turned out to be a blessing for all those families who are not able to bear the expenses of the marriage of their daughter. Telangana government has launched the ‘Shaadi Mubharak’ Scheme to provide financial assistance in the form of a one-time grant of Rs 1,00,116 to unmarried girls above the age of 18. This initiative not only curbed child marriages but also relieved the financial burden related to marriages. Talking to ANI, Ghousia Begum on April 30 said, “After the wedding of my first daughter that took place three years ago, my family has been facing financial problems. A known person then informed me about the scheme, after which I fixed the wedding of my second daughter. Now that I know that the state government has increased the amount from Rs 75,000 to Rs 1,00,116. I think I will be free from all my debts and I will not have to worry about the wedding of my third daughter.”
