Shirui Lily Festival begins at Manipur’s picturesque Ukhrul

Ukhrul (Manipur), Oct 17 (ANI): As the town of Ukhrul adorns in bloomed Shirui lilies, a tourism oriented festival is held in the state. The yearly Shirui Lily Festival began in Manipur’s Ukhrul on October 16 with full fervour. The first day of the festival was attended by several political leaders including Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh. The festival features colourful Tangkhul Naga games, music and dance. Activities such as martial arts performance, rock concerts and mountain biking are also held for an absolute experience. Climbing Shirui Peak to see the famous Shirui lilies in bloom is also an integral part of the festival. The festival will be celebrated for four days from October 16-19.
