Should not repeat mistakes of previous regime of ‘splurging’: FM Sitharaman

New Delhi, Feb 03 (ANI): While addressing a press conference in the national capital on February 03, the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, “Many people have been speculating that fiscal deficit would cross 4%. We may have a situation wherein you want the government to spend on pump-priming the economy.” “We shall not repeat mistakes of the previous regime of splurging. The money being spent now is for asset creation and such assets that can give greater connectivity to places from where produces reach markets,” she added.
